When I see a list of "The 25 Most Popular Stores in America," I don't expect to see banks, restaurants, and government agencies.

But, then again, I didn't create the list.

MSN/Money created the list because they CAN. They have the resources to crunch the numbers and come up with America's Top 25.

What's more, Owensboro seems to be right on target (no pun intended) when it comes to the popularity of those businesses.

23 of the 25 on the list can be found in Owensboro--including Applebee's, Walmart, Chase Bank, and the United States Post Office.

Yes, you read that right.

This comprehensive list obviously includes any business where you can buy something.

There is at least one of each of those 23 here in town.

The two that you won't find in Owensboro? Wells Fargo Bank and 7-Eleven.

And that last one brings up a good question.

7-Eleven may well be the most well-known convenience store brand in the country, but it has NEVER had a location in Owensboro.

So, what do you think? Now that you've seen the list, does it match it up with how you feel about the businesses on it?
