The 8th Annual Community "Spelling Bee for Books" is right around the corner. It's a fun night for a great cause!

Teams (3-6 people) can choose to compete either Tuesday, September 12th, or Tuesday September 19th, from 7 PM - 9 PM. The top four teams from each of these nights will move to the championship round on Tuesday, September 26th. Ages 21 and up only.

Prizes and Trophies are up for grabs!

The event will be held at Gambrinus Libation Emporium - 116 West Second Street in Owensboro.

All of the proceeds benefit and raises awareness for the Daviess County Imagination Library program while stressing the importance of literacy and education!

Dolly Parton founded Imagination Library in her Tennessee hometown in 1996. Since the fall of 2007, Daviess County has been an affiliate. Imagination Library provides books to registered children birth to the age of five.
