2015 was certainly a good year for the moon. We had the "Super Blood Moon" in September, the "Blue Moon" in July, and to close out the year, we are going to see the "Full Cold Moon" on December 25th.

According to NASA, this moon, also called the "Moon Before Yule" hasn't occurred on Christmas since 1977. And it won't happen on Christmas again until 2034. Does this mean Santa will give Rudolph the night off? Maybe, because the moon will be above the horizon the longest on this day. And when will we see it? 5:11 am CDT which is good because the kids will be up anyway.

Merry Moon Watching!
