Allegiant Nonstop From Owensboro to Las Vegas Begins Friday

Friday at 12:20 p.m. I will be on the first direct flight to Las Vegas from the Owensboro - Daviess County Regional Airport. My wife Kathy, County Judge Executive Al Mattingly and his wife Judy and Owensboro Mayor Ron Payne and his wife Denise will be joining us. 

Allegiant Air will make Friday a historic day for Owensboro. Image flying a big  jet directly to Sin City, no stops, transfers or lost luggage. A dream come true. In order to keep that dream we must now all work to use these flights when we can.

Low cost and great service is what Allegiant is all about. In the two years they have been flying to Orlando from Owensboro thousands have experienced the joy of reasonable direct flights. I have no doubt that will continue with the Vegas trips. Allegiant also offers packages including hotel, rental car, etc. at prices that are much better than any I have seen.

OWENSBORO, Ky. —Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) Friday inaugurates low-cost, nonstop travel service between Owensboro, K.Y., and Las Vegas.  To celebrate, the airline is bringing two special guests: Las Vegas icons “Elvis” and a glamorous showgirl.  The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will offer fares as low as $86.99* one-way between the two cities. 

“Allegiant is pleased to add nonstop service to Las Vegas from Owensboro with a fare that will make vacation travel affordable,” Andrew C. The new flights will operate twice weekly between Owensboro-Daviess Regional Airport (OWB) and McCarran International Airport (LAS), with service Monday and Friday. Flights will depart Owensboro at 12:20 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 2:10 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 6:10 a.m. arriving in Owensboro at 11:35 a.m. (all flight times are local).  The carrier will utilize a full-size, jet aircraft on the route.
