My mother happens to live next door to artist Jim Wimsatt, who, throughout his lifetime, has created endless and amazing pencil drawings.  And, recently, my mother shared this print with me.  It's a rendering of Daviess County High School when it used to sit where Daviess County Middle School resides now.  And this is so cool.  Jim created this piece in 1983 and actually penciled in the initials of several of his classmates!

Here's the sketch in its entirety . . .

Now check out these close-up photographs.  Jim actually sketched the initials of former classmates into the rendering.

And I love this shot too.  Jim sketches with a keen eye for composition.  And this captures the beauty of the former location in absolutely vivid detail.
