Yesterday, students at Apollo High School hosted the annual Dance Blue Marathon to raise money for Pediatric Cancer Research.  The day was a complete success and they raised thousands!

DanceBlue is a 24 hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon that was started at the University of Kentucky that benefits the Golden Matrix Fund which works to support cancer research at the Markey Cancer Center and social support at DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

Within twelve years, DanceBlue has raised over $10 million. Every year, over 100 campus organizations and 800 dancers help raise money to support the Golden Matrix Fund.

Apollo High School Beta club hosted the 6th annual and raised over $66,000 dancing the day away.
