Are You Saving Enough for Your Future? Here’s How to Find Out!

Tuesday, February 23 was the second day of America Saves Week. Your BBB® shares the following America Saves Week daily focus with our readers. Since we are still at the beginning of 2016, the America Saves organization says this is a good time for consumers to get to know their full financial picture. Tuesday’s focus is on assessing your savings. Like your health, America Saves recommends that you assess your savings annually to make sure you are saving for all the right things.

The 2015 Annual America Saves Week survey found that only two-fifths (40%) of US households report good or excellent progress in meeting their savings needs. Other findings from the America Saves organization show that consumers with a savings plan with specific goals save more successfully than those without a plan.

To help consumers enhance their financial picture the America Saves Week website has a handy assessment consumers can take to see if they are saving adequately and also has steps they can follow to create a savings plan.
