Fans of Bluegrass icon and Rosine, KY native Bill Monroe will have their chance to bid on several of the legend's possessions. The Bill Monroe Estate Sale will begin Thursday at 8:00 a.m. just outside of Nashville in Gallatin.

More than a thousand items, including a letter from Ronald Reagan, Monroe's Kentucky Colonel certificate, his Opryland Hotel VIP parking pass, appointment books, and musical instruments will be sold during the three day event. Several hundred items were sold at an event at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum after his death. Monroe's son James had more of Monroe's possessions and the sale this weekend will be an effort to downsize the massive collection.

Bluegrass fans who are unable to make the trip to Tennessee can check out the items up for bid HERE. The estate auction will conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday (7/30).
