Black bears are becoming more numerous in parts of Kentucky and Tennessee in the past couple of years. There happens to be one in our backyard at the moment.

Let me rephrase a bit, the bear has been spotted and is now being tracked by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. A gentleman in Muhlenberg County caught a glimpse on a trail camera.

Officials say it's possible this is the same bear that was spotted before in parts of Daviess and the surrounding counties.

Black bears have been more on the move in the Smoky Mountains the past couple of months, including checking in on the tourists in Gatlinburg. Here's one who stopped to have some pizza just this week.

Remember, it's best NOT to feed the bears.
