Among Catholic baccalaureate institutions, Brescia University in Owensboro ranks pretty high. I'm talkin' Top 5 high!

The Chronicle of Higher Education has identified Brescia as the 5th fastest growing Catholic college in the U.S. in its 2016-2017 almanac, which was released this month.

The decade cited in the analysis saw Brescia experience a 56.7% growth rate and an enrollment bump from 674 students in 2004 to 1,056 in 2014.

That, by the way, is the second highest total in history.

Now, that kind of growth presents a need for capital, as in a $10 million campaign that will fund the expansion and renovation of The Moore Center.

Construction of a new academic building is also in the works.
