Burns Middle School Archery Team Brings Home National Title (PHOTOS)

Several local archery teams traveled to Belknap, Illinois this past weekend to compete in the National Scholastic 3D Championship and they brought home some trophies!

26 States were represented in the National Championship and Owensboro, Kentucky was put on the map!

Burns Middle School has been doing amazing this year.  According to Coach Chris Curtis the Burns team set a goal to win it all this season. And they did just that by becoming Kentucky State Indoor, 3D State Champs, Indoor National and now 3D National Champions!

Apollo High School also brought home a 2nd place finish, with Daviess County High School getting a 3rd place finish!

Meg Curtis, from Apollo High School, finished 2nd overall in the girls competition.

Huge shout out to Trinity High School for placing 5th!

These teams have worked so hard all season and for the past few years as archery has taken off in our community.

We are so proud of these kids and their accomplishments!
