One of the things I love about Holiday World and, really, any theme park, I guess, is the abundance of sunscreen stations throughout the park.

Sure beats having to remember to dig into whatever bag your hauling around to apply it and then eventually running out.

Well now, Owensboro is doing the same thing.

Next Tuesday, May 16th, the City of Owensboro will be at Smothers Park to unveil a brand new sunscreen station.

It'll be the first of three.

According to a press release from the city, Dr. Nicole Brey from Advanced Dermatology Associates has donated the station along with two others that will be set up at Cravens Pool and Combest Pool.

And it's the perfect time for this to happen what with May being Skin Cancer Awareness month.

Mayor Tom Watson will be on hand to present a proclamation and the public is invited to attend.
