City of Owensboro to Begin Gabe’s Tower Condemnation Proceedings

There was a glimmer of hope earlier in the week that perhaps Gabe's Tower could be rescued. And then we heard that possible demolition was on the table.

And now we know:

Now, you have to wonder...how is this going to be accomplished?

I have no knowledge whatsoever about how to demolish a building, so I'm offering nothing.

But I've seen demolitions and they really spread out.

And with the tower so close to a neighborhood and other businesses, it will be interesting to see the method used to accomplish this task.

Geez...the skyline coming in from 231 will REALLY look weird when Gabe's Tower is gone, won't it?
