The Denver Broncos had their chance to honor the great Peyton Manning yesterday during a press conference to announce his retirement. Now it's the Indianapolis Colts turn.

Bob Kravitz from WHTR in Indianapolis was the first to report a possible ceremony honoring Manning early Monday afternoon.

A short time later, Indianapolis Star columnist, Stephen Holder confirmed the rumor.

Holder published a report a couple of hours later on the Indianapolis Star website stating the details of the ceremony were still being hammered out, but confirmed that Manning himself was expected to attend.

For what it's worth, the Colts' website has no information regarding a possible ceremony as of this writing.

As Holder noted, and anyone who stuck around for the question and answer session after Manning's announcement on Monday knows, the future Hall of Fame quarterback made a point to comment that he was not retiring as either a Colt or a Bronco, but as a kid from the University of Tennessee who was able to play professional football for 18 years.

Personally, I'd love to see him come back to Indy and announce he'll retire as a Colt, the team he spent the first 14 years of his career with, and the one I think he would have spent his entire career with had his four neck surgeries not put his future playing status up in the air back in 2011.
