Absentee voting in Daviess Co. which was originally scheduled for next Saturday, has moved up a week to this Saturday, May 7th.

Traditionally, absentee voting is held the Saturday before the primary, however with the BBQ Fest taking place next weekend, many streets downtown will be closed. Anyone who will be out of town on Election Day, as well as any college students who will be in for the weekend, and those with surgery scheduled for May 17th is encouraged to vote this Saturday.

The clerk's office will be open this Saturday, 8:00 am until 12:00 pm for absentee voting only. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 17th. A sample ballot can be found HERE. The Republican Ballot will have the race for U.S. Senate and three precincts will have a State Representative primary. The Democratic Ballot will include the Presidential and U.S. Senate races.

Note: Kentucky holds a closed primary, meaning voters must choose from their party's candidates.
