Daviess County High School Band Director Named Regional Arts Specialist

DuWayne Dale, Daviess County High School's band director, has received high honors from the Kentucky Board of Education.  He has been named one of nine Regional Arts Specialists.

In addition to serving as band director for Daviess County High School, Mr. Dale also serves as an adjunct professor at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

According to a press release from the Daviess County Board of Education, the nine appointed Regional Arts Specialists are individuals who "represent a variety of professional backgrounds and are charged with establishing a communications network and gathering input from arts teachers in their respective regions."

This pilot program will provide professional development to school districts pertaining to the Kentucky Arts Program Review. Dale and his colleagues will serve on teams to evaluate arts programs within districts across the state.
