In his essay, Isaac explored the theme of how his educational plans will impact his community. Isaac plans to earn a degree in agriculture and says he is looking forward to a career in farming.  And he knows that as a farmer, his contributions will affect not only the local community, “but the world as well."  In Isaac's essay he asked,  "How better can one have an impact than to have a part, even a small part, in feeding the people of the world?”

Due to his win in the state competition, Isaac was awarded a $500 scholarship that can be used at any college in Kentucky and Daviess County High School was awarded a plaque. I

Isaac was recognized during a special awards ceremony at his school on Sept. 21 and some very special guests were on hand. Rep. Tommy Thompson and Sen. Joe Bowen were in attendance to present the award.
