DCHS and Apollo High School Take Top Honors at National Archery Tournament

Athletes from various local middle and high schools spent the weekend in Metropolis, Illinois for the Scholastic 3D Outdoor Archery Tournament.  And the archers from Daviess County High School claimed the overall championship and wrapped up the event the #1 team in the nation!

In the high school division, the Daviess County Panthers claimed the #1 spot.  And the Apollo Eagles were right behind them.  Apollo finished the weekend the #2 team in the nation!

Meg Curtis (Apollo)- 5th Place

Kent Wethington (Apollo)- 1st Place- Fixed Pins

Lucas Gillaspie (DCHS)- 2nd Place- Fixed Pins

Cody Adkins- 3rd Place- Fixed Pins

Johnathon Howe (DCHS)- 7th Place

Saturday, in the middle school division, College View Middle School secured a 2nd Place team finish.  And individual results were as follows . . .

Individual Events (Middle School Division)

Harley Wilson (CVMS)- 7th Place

CJ Jones (CVMS)- 4th Place

Kynsley Redmon (DCMS)- 3rd Place

And in the elementary school division, Tycee Beehn finished 1st in his division!
