In an otherwise forgettable 1988-89 UK basketball season, Chris Mills, in a game against Austin Peay, had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists to become the first Wildcat in history to put up a triple-double.

Flash forward 28 years to a game in the Bahamas on a Monday night against Arizona State in which freshman De'Aaron Fox became only the SECOND Wildcat to record an elusive triple-double.

Fox finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in top-ranked Kentucky's 115-69 annihilation of the Sun Devils, who never got closer than 28 points the entire second half...and that's only because that WAS the halftime margin.

All five starters scored in double figures with Malik Monk's 23 leading the way, followed by Isaiah Briscoe with 20, Bam Adebayo with 12, and Wenyen Gabriel with 10.

Plus, senior Derek Willis came off the bench with 11.

This was the fifth all-time match-up between Kentucky and Arizona State and you gotta figure the Sun Devils may not want to do this again. They've never won in the series and this was easily their most lop-sided defeat.

But then again, lop-sided victories have become a trademark of the 2016-2017 season for the 'Cats, up to this point.

They've now won seven games by an average of just over 30 points a game. And this was their third straight 100+ point performance.

But the road gets rougher in December, starting this Saturday at 11:30AM with a visit to Rupp Arena from 11th-ranked UCLA, a team that is also 7-0.

You can hear that game on The Country Station 92.5 WBKR and WOMI--1490AM and 99.1 FM.
