Dolly Parton Announces ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ Sequel Will Be Ready For The Holidays
This is awesome! Since 'Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors' NBC movie captured over 13 million viewers last December, a holiday sequel has been given the green light.
This holiday season, 'Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love' will air in December as NBC hopes to repeat the success of the beloved original story. All of the original cast, Jennifer Nettles and Ricky Schroder as Avie and Robert Parton, and Alyvia Alyn Lind as Dolly, will return. The story will center around the family's holiday traditions, their survival during an unexpected blizzard, as well as the beginnings of Dolly's singing career.
In the meantime, Parton is kicking off her "Pure & Simple" tour on June 3rd and she will be making at stop in Evansville at the Ford Center on Wednesday, August 10th. This will be Dolly's first extensive North American tour in 20 years.
