Downtown Owensboro figures to be pretty busy Saturday. The Home and Garden Show will draw thousands to the Convention Center as folks continue to get more and more feverish for spring.

So it's a good idea to be aware of some work that OMU crews will doing on Fourth and Frederica.

And, let's be honest, that might be a headache even if there WASN'T a big event.

Nonetheless, be prepared for slower-than-normal travel this Saturday when OMU begins working on replacing a traffic signal pole.

There will be lane restrictions and temporary signals in place during the scheduled work time and, weather willing, it should all be wrapped up by Sunday.

So please use caution and have patience because that all says to me that this work will take up most, if not all, of the daylight hours this Saturday.

And, unless you have your own personal helicopter (and how cool would THAT be?), you'll likely need that intersection.

I hear it's pretty popular.
