Shaped by Faith guest Dr. Leah Hoover is passionate about inspiring her students to do what God has called each of them to do. She is Associate Professor of Special Education; Chair Teacher Education Department at Kentucky Wesleyan College. She is also the Director of Disability Services at KWC.

I enjoyed hearing her talk about the Wesleyan Way and how the Professors makes an effort to personally know each of their students. She referred to KWC as a family atmosphere where the students and Professors really care about one another. Leah shared what her first teaching experience was like and what inspired her to go into the teaching profession. She is passionate about Special Education and helping her students succeed. I also loved hearing about the Special Education Department and all the different majors in this field.

Leah is a ball of energy and so uplifting to be with. She joined my Total Body Challenge classes and is also attending our Drums Alive classes at Owensboro Christian Church Recreation Center. When I asked her what exercise she wanted to demonstrate, she immediately said, "Anything with a Kettle Bell!." Watch her demonstrate the Kettle Bell Swing, she says that she does this in her office and I believe her!
