Dumpster Dan Employee Killed in HWY 431 Accident in Daviess County

It has been a dangerous couple of weeks on HWY 431 and there was another early morning tragedy today.  The Daviess County Sheriff's Department says a local sanitation worker was killed this morning while on the job.

According to authorities, a Dumpster Dan garbage truck was stopped on southbound HWY 431 and employee was outside of the truck collecting garbage at a home.  That's when an Aramark truck came over a nearby hill and struck the employee and the parked Dumpster Dan vehicle.  Neither driver was injured, but the worker was pronounced dead at the scene.  The identity of the worker is being withheld pending notification of family member's.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Department says that low visibility may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
