I estimate there's about a month or so left in the school year, maybe? No matter, now that the weather has FINALLY warmed up, it's time for the annual school field trip!

When I was going to school, nothing could beat the good old field trip to an historical site or Mammoth Cave, which is number one on this list. I know I've visited at least three other places on the list.

My Old Kentucky Home aka Federal Hill in Bardstown is always a good time and not just for the Stephen Foster-inspired musical, the town has a pretty great restaurant scene, hello, Old Talbott Tavern.

Harrodsburg in Mercer County is home to Kentucky's first settlement and Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill.

What are some of your favorite Kentucky field trip destinations?
