The Green River Mustangs Club will be riding in honor of the late Hopkinsville Police Officer Phillip Meacham and all who serve the thin blue line this weekend.

Officer Meacham was killed in the line of duty on March 29th.

The Mustangs are asking drivers to join them this Saturday, June 9th to stampede for only $25 per car. They will meet with other Mustang clubs from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana around 11:00 a.m. CDT at the old Ponderosa parking lot located at 302 S. 2nd St. in Central City.

The clubs leave promptly at noon with law enforcement escorts to "stampede" along the back roads as they make their way to Hopkinsville where they will present 100 percent of the proceeds taken in to Officer Meacham's family.

All participating Mustangs are encouraged to decorate their cars with the thin blue line even if it's blue painter's tape across the back window. Limited quantities of event t-shirts will be available; the proceeds from shirt sales will also be donated to the Meacham family.

Raffles for donated prizes will be given away prior to the stampede; tickets will be $1.00 for one ticket or six for $5.00.
