Like a Game of Thrones meme, the Tri-State needs to brace itself, for another round of winter weather is coming, and there's a good chance it's going to make the Wednesday morning commute difficult in many parts of the area.

Local meteorologists, including Metro Weather Watch on Facebook, have been forecasting the possibility of another round of winter weather this week for a few days, and it now seems their predictions will come to fruition as a weather system enters the Tri-State area later this evening.

The National Weather Service all but confirms the likelihood with the announcement of a Winter Weather Advisory for our entire area beginning this evening at 6:00 p.m. and continuing through 6:00 a.m. According to the Advisory, the event will begin with a wintry mix of snow and freezing rain, with light accumulations of snow up to one inch in parts of the area, and up to two-tenths of an inch of ice.

The result will be slick roads and difficult travel conditions Wednesday morning, which could lead to school delays or cancellations in many parts of the Tri-State.
