Fresh By Gene’s Food Truck Wins Evansville Food Truck Festival

It was a very successful weekend last weekend for the Fresh by Gene's Food Truck!  The truck competed in the 1st annual Evansville Food Truck Festival and won two huge awards!

The Fresh By Genes Food Truck won the coveted Peoples Choice Award and 1st Place Overall.

The Fresh by Gene's Truck is co-owned by brother and sister team Andrew Keller and Karissa Costello, who launched the project as an addition to their popular organic deli inside of their health food store Gene’s Health Food here in Owensboro.  One of their most popular items, without a doubt, is their Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese!  It was definitely one of the highlights of all 23 trucks that competed at the Evansville festival.

If you missed that festival, don't worry!  They will be serving from their truck at ROMP music festival. They'll be serving up that insanely good grilled cheese sandwich as well as Smoked Salmon Tacos . . . an other crowd favorite!
