We all know some of the famous people from Kentucky, right?  George Clooney, Diane Sawyer, Johnny Depp, etc.  People love to celebrate the well-respected celebrities and sports heroes from their home states.  But have you ever wondered who the absolute worst person from each state is?  The people that no state wants to claim? Mandatory.com just put together a rather disturbing map of the United States and, on it, identified the most horrifying figures from each state.  Check this out!

Though Harvey was born in Ohio, he began his medical career (and killing spree) at Marymount Hospital in London, Kentucky.  Harvey was a so-called "Angel of Death" and claims to have taken the lives of 87 patients.  He was convicted of murdering dozens and was sentenced to 28 life sentences.

**By the way, it's important to note that Harvey, despite the fact he was born in the Buckeye State, didn't win the title of "absolute worst" in Ohio.  Who did?  Charles Manson!

Not to be outdone, our friends just north of the river, get to claim one of the most reviled names in religion and cult mentality.  Our friends in the Hoosier State get the honor of claiming Jim Jones, the reviled cult leader responsible for the horrific Guyana Tragedy.  Jones . . . who was born in rural Indiana then eventually attended IU in Bloomington . . . founded the Peoples Temple in Jonestown, Guyana, where, in 1978, nearly one thousand of his followers "drank the Kool-Aid."  Jones had laced that Kool-Aid with cyanide with the intent of convincing his followers to commit "revolutionary suicide."

They did.  And, then, Jones took his own life at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
