For the 24th consecutive year, the parent league of the Evansville Otters is inviting all young men with dreams of playing professional baseball to their annual Tryout Camp and Draft on Monday, April 25th and Tuesday, April 26th at The Corn Crib in Normal, Illinois.

The camp and draft have a strong track record when it comes to players finding homes on a Frontier League team roster. According to their press release, and average of 40 players from the camp have been drafted and signed to spring training contracts over the last seven years. In the past four years, 10 players have gone on to sign with a Major League Baseball team.

Registration is underway now through the League's official website, with walk-up registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the 25th.

Coaching staffs and scouts from all 12 Frontier League teams will be on hand to evaluate players, as well as scouts from several MLB teams. The press release doesn't specify which MLB teams will be represented.

Participants will be put through a number of drills including a 60-year dash, fielding and throwing drills, and batting practice, while pitchers will throw 15-20 bullpens. A select number of players from day one will be invited back on the 26th to participate in inter-squad games, with the draft taking place approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the games.

For more directions to the facility, as well as guidelines on gear, visit the Frontier League website.
