By now, you have likely seen our story about Brendan Stewart.  The Owensboro dancing phenom, well on his way to becoming nationally known as "Wicked Curls", has won a scholarship to train in New York City this summer at the Broadway Dance Center.  And, Memorial Day weekend, there's a fundraiser in Owensboro to help raise money to get him there!

And, if you haven't yet seen Brendan in action, check this out!

This kid definitely has talent!  And that talent will be on full display in July, when he heads off to New York City to train for a week.  His family will be staying at Row NYC in Hell's Kitchen, just a few blocks away from the Broadway Dance Center, where Brendan earned free classes this summer.

If you'd like to contribute to cause, check out the fundraiser this Saturday, May 27, from 11am to 2pm at Carpets Unlimited in Owensboro.  Lunch, complete with a burger and chips will be $6.  Plus, there will be raffle tickets available for $5 a piece.  And there are several exciting raffle prizes up for grabs . . . from Crandall's Home Furnishings, Say It Southern, Balance 54, Tuesday Morning, Reggie's One Stop detail shop, Owensboro Parks and Rec and more.  Raffle prizes range in value from $30 to $300!

Brendan, a.k.a. Wicked Curls, trains at Johnson's Dance Studio here in Owensboro!
