Quitting smoking is not easy at all. The state of Kentucky began the "Quit Now Kentucky" program a few years ago and now our local health department will help out those trying to quit.

The Green River District Health Department will not only offer support for those looking to quit smoking, they will offer free nicotine replacement therapy such as lozenges, patches, and gum. The nicotine replacement is part of the Quit Now Kentucky program. Green River received an Owensboro community health investment grant for the replacement therapy.

The Quit Now Kentucky program is FREE and it serves all Kentuckians 15 and older without parental consent regardless of tobacco use.

The Green River District Health Department services the counties of Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster.
