The Holiday season is a joyous time of the year for most of us, but for those who have experienced a loss, or who find themselves feeling sad, anxious or lonely, or depressed this usually festive time of the year can be a sad or painful time of the year. Stress & Anxiety can become so overwhelming during the Holidays that a person may not feel they can survive the Holidays.

My guest Zakk Gammon who is a licensed Pastoral Counselor with Revive Wellness Group talked about ways to approach the Holidays and things we can do to help relieve some of our sadness or pain. He gives some great tips on things we can do to cope with the Holidays when we are not up to celebrating.

Zakk talked about the difference between feeling sad and being depressed. He talked about seasonal depression that affects a lot of people this time of the year.  He also explains the difference between seasonal depression and depression that affects a person everyday. You can listen to Zakk on Shaped by Faith Radio this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 am on 99.1 FM and 1490 AM WOMI. Listen: http://womiowensboro.com/listen-live/popup/

Since we were talking about ways to handle stress through the Holidays I thought a few simple stretches would be appropriate for Zakk to demonstrate. You can do these stretches at work, home, anywhere. Exercise will boost your mood and help increase your energy, even simple stretches. Give it a try today!
