The ever-evolving roster of the Evansville IceMen roster has added Robin Soudek from the Rapid City Rush in exchange for Kale Kerbashian.

The Czech Republic born Soudek scored 10 goals and handed out 11 assists in 29 games with the Rapid City Rush and Stockton Thunder this season. He posted a season best three points with a goal and two assists against Tulsa on Nov.14. His previous experience includes stints with the Denver Cutthroats where scored 14 times in 41 games along with three games for the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL where he scored one goal.

In a press release issued by the team, IceMen Head Coach Al Sims said of the trade, “The deal was made to try and improve our team...We’re trying to get younger, bigger, and faster if we can.”

Coach Sims continued by saying “He’s 23-years-old so he’s got a lot of upside to his game, and we look forward to seeing him play."

To make room for Soudek, the IceMen send Kale Kerbashian to Rapid City. Kerbashian scored nine goals and a racked up a team-high 19 assists this season with the team including a four-game point streak from Nov.11 to Nov. 21 with five assists over that span.

Said Coach Sims on Kerbashian, “Kale was a great kid, we loved him but sometimes you have to make moves and hopefully this is one that helps us.”

The IceMen return to the Ford Center on Wednesday to host the 25-13-1-1 Reading Royals at 7:15pm. Tickets available at the Ford Center box office Monday through Friday between 10am-5pm, and online at Ticketmaster.com.
