John Calipari has taken every possible precaution to keep his players and staff healthy as the Kentucky Wildcats head into a daunting December stretch.

A couple of his staff members got sick during the Bahamas trip so he didn't want to take any chances and had facilities, sleeping quarters, EVERYTHING disinfected.

Each member of the team now has his own personal bottle of hand sanitizer and is likely under orders to use it as often has Calipari wants them to rebound.

Since all players were seen in practice ahead of the marquee match-up against UCLA on Saturday, it looks like it worked.

That's accomplishment number one.

Next up is something he can't guarantee will happen and WON'T happen until sometime after UK and the Bruins tip off in Rupp Arena.

With Kentucky averaging a 30.6 margin of victory through seven games thus far this season, Calipari wants to see some adversity.

He can't learn anything with the blowouts and wants to see what will happen if an opponent, say, its first 12 shots or holds the 'Cats to a low percentage.

What happens in an overtime game with these guys?

He can find out a lot in those situations and learn how to make adjustments and who should be in during clutch time and who should definitely be OUT.

So far, it's been hard to know how to deal with those scenarios with all these blowouts.

And, yes, MOST coaches would call what Calipari is talking about a GOOD problem. But they likely also know exactly what he means.

Let's see if he gets his "wish" Saturday.
