Juvenile Charged in Owensboro Shooting

On the evening of January 6th, Owensboro police responded to the 1800 block of West 7th Street regarding a shooting.

The victim was 18-year-old Talen Johnson of Owensboro, who was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

44News is reporting that Johnson sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and is in recovery but fighting for his life.

Owensboro police conducted an investigation and that has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile who has been charged with 1st degree assault.
