Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler Walking Away from NASCAR

Not one, but two drivers are walking away from NASCAR at the end of this season; one quite young, the other, a dedicated veteran.

It's hard to believe but 38-year-old Kasey Kahne has been in the game for 15 years. 2018 will be his last full-time season in Monster Energy Cup Series. He has 18 Cup wins; the highest he finished in a season was in 2012 when he was ranked fourth while driving for Hendrick Motorsports. He was the Sunoco Rookie of the Year in 2004, a year in which he scored six victories driving for Ray Evernham.

Kahne has the distinction of picking up victories all three NASCAR national series, which includes in the Xfinity series and in the Camping World truck series. He currently drives the No. 95 Chevrolet for Leavine Family Racing.

A veteran of more than 800 races under his belt, 43-year-old Elliott Sadler is also leaving NASCAR at the end of this seaon. He started racing in the then Busch Series, now Xfinity, in 1995. Although he did score three wins in the Monster Energy Series and one in the truck series, Sadler amassed 13 Xfinity victories in his career. He finished second in the Xfinity series in both 2011 and 2012.

He currently drives the No. 1 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports.
