Kentucky Mavericks Will Host New Year’s Day Exhibition Game

The Kentucky Mavericks are gearing up for their 2017 season and will give fans a sneak peek of the team this weekend.

The Mavericks have announced that they will host an exhibition game on New Year's Day!  It will be 3pm, Sunday, at the Mavericks Training Center at 817 West First Street here in Owensboro.  The event is FREE to the public, but space is limited.  So, seats will be given on a first come, first-served basis.

Training Camp is currently underway at the Mavericks Training Center.  After a round of cuts this morning, fifteen players remain and they are: veterans Anthony Jackson, Gerard DeVaughn, Mike Crain, Corey Wilford, and Matt Karn, and new players C J Blackwell, Ben Vazzola, Nicholas Waddell, Marcus Fillyaw, Jackie Butler, Brandon McGee, Josh Johnson, Chris Watson, Chrishawn Hopkins, and Andrew Christian.

Mavericks Training Camp continues through Sunday when two more cuts will be made. On Sunday night, following the exhibition, the final roster which will include a total of 13 players!
