So tell me, UK and U of L fans. Where have you often found yourselves on the Saturday between Christmas and New Year's Day in recent years? Riiiiiight...in front of the television. Or maybe you've been in Lexington or Louisville.

Well, for the first time in a decade, it looks like the UK/Louisville game is on the move.

The always highly-anticipated match-up will now be played either December 20th or December 21st at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville. That would put the annual rivalry game on a Tuesday or a Wednesday for the first time in eons.

What I find ironic is the likely reason for the move.

This year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year's Day is New Year's Eve. And that's when Louisville will play Indiana in the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge. That game will happen in Indianapolis.

I guess this is where I take another opportunity to wish that UK/Indiana rivalry game returned, but it really has nothing to do with the blog.

Louisville is but one of Kentucky's many high-profile non-conference opponents in 2016-2017. The 'Cats will also take on Michigan State, North Carolina, UCLA, Arizona State, and whatever Big 12 opponent they're assigned for the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
