Oh, I shake my head. I know you have heard me rant and rave about how rebooting or remaking a great, or not-so-great movie of the past is a bad idea. Now, I've had it officially! Or so I thought.

It turns out the story about Labyrinth being remade or rebooted is just a rumor. Instead, it will be a sequel to the Jim Henson produced 1986 fantasy favorite. Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman who is taking on the new script said she began discussing a sequel in more than a year ago. Perlman took to Twitter to explain.

And last week, Toby Froud, who played baby Toby in the original posted this tribute to Bowie. Froud and both of his parents work in the puppetry biz.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Labyrinth's release.
