Tropicana Casino in Evansville is about to become a land lubber. Yep, the popular river attraction will soon become a popular LAND attraction.

$50 million dollars has been designated for the move to dry land with an extended 15 year lease.

An extra $1 million will be used to move the LST 325 to where the riverboat sits now.

After the lease agreement goes in front of the redevelopment commission, the deal will head to the state gaming commission in February.

A groundbreaking ceremony is earmarked for this spring with an opening date expected sometime in late 2017.
