I recently ran into Larry Maglinger, Owensboro's popular Rod Stewart impersonator, at the Chamber Works event downtown.  There, he filled me in on an interesting new project he's working on in Nashville.  He's recording an album of Rod Stewart covers with a bluegrass-infused twist.  Here's a sneak preview of the unique project from inside the recording studio.  Do ya think it's sexy?

Larry was at Hilltop Recording Studio in Nashville this week working with Steve Chandler and other musicians on the project.  He recorded seven songs total for the CD and will be back in the studio in a couple of weeks for additional vocal work.

And stay tuned to WBKR and WBKR.com!  As soon as he has tracks to share, Larry . . . or should I say '"Rod" . . . will be visiting WBKR to share his brand new music.
