Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Orlando-Inspired Tony Award Acceptance Speech [Video]

There are so many reasons why I love live theatre.  And you can add last night's Tony Awards to the list.  I knew that if anyone could put into words what the world was thinking after the senseless tragedy in Orlando, Florida, the leaders of the theatre community could and would.  And they did.  For me, the absolute highlight was the acceptance speech by Lin-Manuel Miranda.  When he accepted his trophy for Best Original Score, Miranda launched into a heart-felt, tear-filled sonnet about the power and endurance of love.
