Amid an ongoing NCAA investigation, the Louisville Cardinals basketball program has self-imposed a post-season ban.

In a book published last fall, self-described former escort Katina Powell alleged that a former men's basketball staff member hired dancers to entertain recruits and players at Billy Minardi Hall, a dorm on Louisville's campus.

Powell revealed more in an interview on ESPN's Outside the Lines.

Coach Rick Pitino has denied having any knowledge of these events and plans to attend a  Friday afternoon press conference wherein the penalties will be revealed.

Currently ranked 19th in the Associated Press college basketball poll with an 18-4 record and coming off the best win of their season over North Carolina on Monday, the Cardinals will now not only miss the NCAA Tournament, but they will not be allowed to participate in the ACC Tournament as well.
