It seems like we just can't get a break from rain.  And that trend looks to continue this weekend.  The National Weather Service has placed parts of the WBKR listening area under a Marginal Risk for severe weather Saturday.  Yep.  In addition to heavy rain, we could see damaging wings and lightning.  Here's the forecast.

DAY ONE- TODAY AND TONIGHT

A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA TODAY...AND THEN LINGER THROUGH THE NIGHT. THE BEST COVERAGE IS EXPECTED THIS MORNING OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...THE SOUTHERN TIP OF ILLINOIS...AND MUCH OF WEST KENTUCKY. LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL AND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE PRIMARY CONCERNS.

SATURDAY

NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGHOUT THE AREA SATURDAY AS A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE REGION. A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND THE EVANSVILLE TRI STATE. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE THREAT TO GO ALONG WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND LIGHTNING.
