Moon Mullins & Theresa Rowe (Shaped by Faith)

Moon Mullins was my friend and he always encouraged me to be my best. Moon gave me the opportunity to host my own radio show, Shaped by Faith that first aired on 1490 WOMI in September of 2013. He believed in God and he believed it was important for us to share our stories of inspiration and hope. I will always be thankful and grateful to Moon for our friendship and for the opportunity of launching Shaped by Faith on the radio. Moon passed away this week and my heart is sad. I know he is now with God and he is hearing the most amazing heavenly music of all time!

Moon was a Country Radio Hall of Fame Legend who influenced so many people in the radio and music business. He gave many, just like me, their first start on the air. Music artist legends remember Moon for his kindness and his amazing voice on the air. I am so glad I got the opportunity to interview him right before he retired and moved to Texas. He talked about his first opportunity on Radio at the age of 15 and he talked about many memories and celebrities who made an impact and lasting impression on his life.

Moon discussed his Faith and he talked about the great impact Billy Graham made on his life while attending a Billy Graham crusade. I will always remember Moon for seeing the God potential in me and for being a good friend who really cared about me. Even after he moved to Texas he would call from time to time and check in on me and ask how my radio show was going. I will miss Moon, he was a one of a kind legend and he he made me feel special all the time. Until we meet again Moon!
