NASCAR fans are some of the most loyal in all of sports. One young fan, Jake Leatherman from the sport's biggest hub North Carolina, loved Richard Petty, the M & M's car, and the Lowe's car. On November 1st, the five-year-old lost his battle with juvenile myelomoncytic leukemia and his mother made a proposal, "I want to give my son the send off he deserves", and the NASCAR world answered.

Jake's mother Crystal hoped any person with a NASCAR racing suit would show up, more than 60 people who live and work in the world of NASCAR, including drivers Joey Logano, J.J. Yeley, Matt DiBennedetto, and Ryan Ellis attended Leatherman's funeral last Wednesday.

When he arrived in Phoenix this past weekend, Logano donated $5,000, handed out NASCAR merchandise, and he spent time at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
