From time to time, I'll throw YouTube up on the TV and watch movie trailers. I like to know what's coming AND if I miss the previews at the ACTUAL movie theatre, well, chances are I've already seen them.

I came across one called The Clovehitch Killer, about a teenage boy who suspects that his preacher father may actually be a notorious serial killer...who hasn't really stopped killing.

The film stars Charlie Plummer as the boy and Dylan McDermott as his father and, based on what I saw in the trailer, bears a bit of a resemblance to both The Stepfather and Frailty.

But, something caught my eye and I really had to do the "play/pause" shuffle to get the screen to freeze on what I thought was--and, come to find out, ACTUALLY was--a Kentucky driver's license.

Random? Well, not so much.

According to the film's IMDB page, The Clovehitch Killer is set in Kentucky and was also filmed here.

Now, the next natural step was locating the location for the shoot. But that has proven very difficult to do.

I've always thought more films should be shot in Kentucky. There are great locations everywhere, from the lakes in the west to the mountains in the east and everywhere in between.

The Clovehitch Killer will be released November 16th.
