Yesterday the new vehicle registration system for Kentucky was supposed to launch statewide.  We received word from local officials that the system has had several problems causing a temporary halt in business.According to County Clerk, Oz Osborne, the system should have gone live yesterday allowing vehicle owners to renew or register new vehicles.  The system is now completely down all over.  It was up and running in eastern Kentucky this morning but quickly malfunctioned, consequently Clerk's offices all over the state are unable to access information needed to complete registrations and renewals.

Once they get everything back up and running they will make sure and let all media outlets know so they can communicate this with the public.  They will also be contacting local law enforcement agencies to let them know of the issue.
