Members of the Owensboro Police Department will be available for community interaction with another "Coffee with a Cop" event. This time it will be at Starbucks at 2402 Frederica Street.

The program is a national initiative supported by the The United States Department of Justice and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Basically, OPD wants to hear from you and they want to know what community issues are on your mind. Since a majority of police and public interaction happen during emergencies or emotional situations, "Coffee with a Cop" allows for a relaxed atmosphere and one-on-one interaction.

This next "Coffee with a Cop" will be Thursday, July 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
