OPD Investigating Shooting in Owensboro

Owensboro police have responded to a call about a shooting Friday morning on the city's east side.

Here's what we know:

The call to 911 dispatch came in just prior to 10AM.

Authorities say the caller reported that a man was sitting in the road on East 23rd Street.

Responding officers discovered the man had been shot.

The investigation led officers to 533 East 24th Street.

Authorities are on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
